Brooklyn teenager shot to death inside public housing complex: cops

A teenager was gunned down inside a public housing complex in Brooklyn on Sunday night, police reported.

Raymond Matthews, 17, of Wortman Street took several deadly bullets to his chest inside of the Linden Houses at 580 Stanley Ave. in East New York at about 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 10.

Officers from the 75th Precinct and NYPD PSA 2 found Matthews while responding to a 911 call about a man shot and found the victim inside a third-floor hallway.

Paramedics rushed him to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said. Detectives have not yet established a motive for the deadly shooting, or a suspect’s description.
