Cops investigating death of a man who was shot in the Bronx

Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot in the Bronx on Wednesday night.

Authorities say that at 9:40 p.m. on April 1, police responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot on Sheridan Avenue near E. Mt Eden Avenue. Following an investigation, police learned that a 52-year-old man was shot in the torso.

The victim was taken by private means to BronxCare Medical Center prior to police arrival, where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
