Cops arrested a 25-year-old Bronx man in connection with the shooting death of a 21-year-old man during a violent dispute in a Brooklyn housing project Monday night.
Police arrested Tejion Lee of the Bronx. He is being charged with murder and possession of a weapon. It was not clear if the murder weapon was recovered.
Officers from the 73rd Precinct and PSA2 were called at 9:27 p.m. on April 13 to report of shots fired at Dumont Avenue in the Tilden Houses, a NYCHA development.
Upon arrival, they found the 21-year-old victims with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. Responding paramedics pronounced him dead.
The dead man was identified as Shamar Davis of Dumont Avenue.
Nine people were taken into custody for questioning regarding the shooting. Police at the scene say the shooting may have been gang-related, though others say it was a dispute between two separate families on the 13th floor of the building. Distraught family members declined to comment outside the building.
It was not immediately known what the motive for the shooting was or what relationship the suspect and victim had with each other.
