An enraged motorist shot a man in Brooklyn on Monday evening during a road rage dispute, authorities said.
The incident unfolded after two vehicles collided outside a deli at 1424 Flatbush Ave. at around 7:35 p.m. on July 9, police said. Tempers flared and an unknown perpetrator produced a black handgun and fired it at the 25-year-old victim, striking him in the hand.
The victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he is expected to survive.
The gunman fled the scene in a 2019 black Nissan southbound on Flatbush Avenue, police said.
Residents were stunned by the incident.
“The quality of life feels like it is going downhill,” one local said, who didn’t want to be named.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
