A woman was injured Saturday night after a shooting inside a Brooklyn parking lot, police said.
Details surrounding the incident remain scarce, authorities said, however, police sources told amNewYork Metro that a 24-year-old woman was shot in the right leg on Saturday, Feb 18. at approximately 9:05 p.m. at Montgomery Avenue and McKeever place, not far from the Ebbets Field Apartments complex in Crown Heights.
The victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital where she is expected to recover.
Police said the victim refused to cooperate with the investigation when quizzed about the incident. Law enforcement could be seen searching a Nissan Maxima sporting a Tennessee license plate; police did not say if she was inside the car when the firing occurred. NYPD sources did not provide a description of a shooter or confirm if they believe another party was involved.
Police cordoned off the area and combed the crime scene with flashlights for several hours.
