The NYPD is looking for a duo who tried to rob one person and assaulted another less than an hour apart on the East Side of Manhattan.
According to police, at 3:40 p.m. on May 13 a 16-year-old boy was walking in the vicinity of East 25th Street and FDR Drive when he was approached by two unknown men. One suspect pulled out a knife and demanded the victim’s property.
The suspects then punched the victim in the head and tried to take his shoes. The victim was able to thwart the would-be robbers and held onto his shoes, and the suspects fled the location empty-handed. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result and did not require medical attention on scene.
Later that same day at 4:35 p.m., the suspects were in front of 400 East 23rd Street, where they were engaging with a 20-year-old man. One of the suspects then pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in the chest.
The suspects then fled the scene southbound on 1st Avenue. Paramedics took the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
The NYPD released photos and a video of the suspects taken from nearby surveillance footage:
