A 67-year-old New Jersey man died of his injuries on Monday morning when he crashed his car in Manhattan.

Authorities say that at 7:22 a.m. on Feb. 10, the NYPD responded to a 911 call regarding a single motor vehicle collision along the northbound FDR Drive near East 26 Street. Upon their arrival, officers found Harbhajan Singh, of Carteret, New Jersey, in the driver’s seat of a 2015 Toyota Camry, unconscious and unresponsive.

An investigation found that as he was driving, Singh suffered a medical episode of some kind, causing him to fail to properly navigate the roadway. The car, which was in the left lane, then struck the center median thereat before coming to a stop. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

EMS rushed Singh to NYU Langone Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
