NYC SHOOTINGS: Man slain in Brooklyn apartment, victim takes bullet near Manhattan hotel

Detectives are investigating two shootings in Brooklyn and Manhattan early on Friday morning that left one man dead and two others injured.

The deadly shooting happened in Crown Heights, Brooklyn at about 2:35 a.m. on Dec. 11, inside the Albany Houses at 1191 Park Place.

Cops said a 38-year-old man was shot in the chest, and a 41-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his right hand, inside a third-floor apartment at the public housing complex.

Officers from the 77th Precinct and NYPD PSA 2 responded to a 911 call about the shooting. EMS rushed both victims to Kings County Medical Center.

The 38-year-old man died shortly upon arrival at the hospital; police have withheld his identity, pending family notification.

The 41-year-old man, meanwhile, remains at Kings County Hospital in stable condition.

At this point in the ongoing investigation, police have not made any arrests, nor established a possible motive for the shooting.

About 30 minutes earlier, law enforcement sources said, an 18-year-old man was shot in the chest outside a Financial District hotel.

The shooting happened at about 2 a.m. on Dec. 11 outside the Doubletree by Hilton at 8 Stone St.

Police sources said an unidentified gunman shot the victim through a hotel room door. There’s no word yet on what provoked the shooting.

Officers from the 1st Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. Paramedics brought the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was said to be conscious and alert.

No arrests have been made in this case, and the investigation is ongoing.
