A 15-year-old Queens teen has been charged with robbing another teen on the L train who was then pulled off, brutally beaten, and stripped of his pants at the Atlantic Avenue stop in Brooklyn, police said.
Brandon Parchment was charged with second-degree robbery for the Friday afternoon attack. Parchment, along with a group of several others, allegedly approached the 16-year-old victim on the southbound train near Broadway Junction at about 3:30 p.m.
“What gang are you in?”A they apparently asked him. But when the teen said he wasn’t in a gang, they started to punch and kick him, police said.
Police said the group pulled the victim from the train when it approached Atlantic Avenue and continued to beat him, knocking him unconscious. They then took his phone, sneakers and jeans.
The teen was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was treated for a concussion and a severe injury to his right eye.
Parchment was awaiting arraignment Monday and could not be reached for comment.
