After 12 years serving the Lower East Side, La Bodega de la Familia shut its doors last month. An offshoot of the Family Justice organization, La Bodega — using the technique of family intervention — focused on helping neighborhood residents who had gone through the criminal justice system reform their lives and overcome drug problems. La Bodega’s mission will continue through Family Justice, which hopes to reach out to provide its services through other local groups. Third St. facility’s closing, Jerry Robinson, Rodney Gorden, Carmen Medina, Arelez Marrero, Ana Nazario, Tina Santiago, Dayadriz Brito and Sonia Albarran.
