Although its brick and mortar presence ceases on May 1, you can still access Tribeca Film Festival content in a variety of ways — the best of which is certainly by keeping that handy hard copy pocket guide you’ve no doubt picked up at festival screenings, then keeping your eyes peeled for when the films show up as general release flicks throughout the year.
“Catching Hell,” “Grave Encounters” and “Janie Jones” are among the TFF films already confirmed for theatrical release in 2011. Through cable systems nationwide (locally, Time Warner), the distribution label Tribeca Film will deliver Movies on Demand through June 23. Currently, the films available include “The Bleeding House,” “The Bang Bang Club,” “Last Night” and “Neds.”

If you crave the big screen experience, this year’s festival concludes with a true Tribeca-centric effort. “Newlyweds” screens at 6:30pm on Saturday, April 30, at BMCC Tribeca Pac (199 Chambers Street, between Greenwich & West Streets). Local boy Ed Burns shot this film entirely in Tribeca — and from the description, it seems poised to continue Burns’ prolific streak of zeroing in on the heroic, tragic, petty and profound games people play. This time up, the screenwriter/director/co-star eavesdrops on a wife whose husband comes with family, friends and exes loaded down with baggage.
