Mask-wearing youths threw newspaper boxes and garbage cans into the street on Third Ave. at Seventh St. to block traffic on Monday evening near McSorley’s bar, where Governor George Pataki and House Speaker Dennis Hastert were among the featured guests at a party thrown by aircraft maker and major Defense Department contractor Lockheed Martin. E. Seventh St. was closed off for the event and a white tent was erected in front of McSorley’s. A sign on the bar told passerby it would be closed at 6 p.m.
