A 74-year-old man died on Sunday after getting into a fight with a neighbor inside their apartment building in the Bronx.

Police said officers called to the building on University Avenue near West 197th Street found Felix Rodriguez unconscious and unresponsive on the floor of the elevator.

Rodriguez was taken to  NewYork-Presbyterian /The Allen Hospital in Manhattan, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Upon further investigation, police said Rodriguez got into an argument with another man who lives in the building, Joaquin Feliciano, 54, that turned violent. Police said the argument stemmed from holding the elevator door open, but could not say which man had held the door.

The city medical examiner’s office will determine Rodriguez’s cause of death.

Police said Feliciano has been charged with manslaughter.
