Bronx police shooting: Photos from the scene and more

An NYPD sergeant was shot and killed, and another wounded, in a daytime shootout with a suspect in the Bronx on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016. The incident occurred in the Van Nest neighborhood within the 43rd Precinct.

Emmanuel Kwo, right, was wounded in the leg during the shooting, police said. He was released from Jacobi Medical Center after being treated for his injuries.

NYPD investigators said they recovered this Colt .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun that officers believe was used by suspect Manuel Rosales during a firefight with officers. One officer was killed, another wounded. Rosales also was killed.
