The upcoming week’s schedule of Community Board 1 committee meetings is below. Unless otherwise noted, all committee meetings are held at the board office located at 49 Chambers St., Room 709.
On Mon. June 20, the Financial District Committee will meet at 6 p.m. for a street fair discussion with Mildred Duran of the Street Activity Permit Office; to discuss and draft a resolution regarding a street activity permit to close Hanover St. and Exchange Place for an Aug. 24 event at Cipriani’s; for a discussion about a new wine boutique store at 55 Liberty St. that is seeking a letter of support for a State Liquor Authority license; and to discuss and draft a resolution for a liquor license application for Flames Steakhouse at 5 Gold St.
On Tues. June 21 the full board will meet at 6 p.m. at P.S. 234 auditorium, 292 Greenwich St. at Chambers St. Following the public session, board members will hear speeches from candidates for the C.B. 1 chairperson position and then vote to elect a new chair. The board will also discuss and/or vote on the following issues: a revised master plan for 60 Hudson St.; a proposed Peter Lundberg sculptures for the Holland Tunnel Rotary; the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center area-wide air monitoring program; the deconstruction plan for 130 Liberty St.; the memorial complex design; a Board of Standards and Appeals variance application for 377 Greenwich St.; a resolution about the new Beekman St. school; and other topics.
On Thurs. June 23 the Youth and Education Committee will meet at 6 p.m. for an update on the new Beekman St. school; for a report about a meeting with the Region 9 superintendent; and a discussion about the Fall Youth Fair.
