The Greenwich House Senior Center is offering a 14-week program for seniors who enjoy choral singing and want to expand their knowledge and appreciation of music beginning at 1:30 p.m. Tues. Sept. 21.
Janice Lowe, a composer, musician and choral conductor will lead the classes where choral singing will be the main activity, culminating in a holiday performance by the class in December. Other activities will include field trips to a concert or an open opera rehearsal and performances by visiting musicians.
The program, made possible by a grant from the Isaac H. Tuttle Fund, is the second segment of a new arts program at Greenwich House.
Classes will take place at the fourth-floor senior center at 27 Barrow St. For information phone 212-242-4140 ext. 281.
