Coalitions and countries’ colors combine on May Day

Calling for “jobs for all at union wages” and legalization for illegal aliens, workers and immigrants marked May Day on Fri., May 1, in Union Square. Colorful Latin costumes and flags — both the Stars and Stripes and those of some of the participants’ native countries — added a festive air to the events.
