Soon, New Yorkers won’t have to travel very far to be “wastin’ away again in Margaritaville.”

Curbed first reported that construction on the Times Square location of Margaritaville Resorts is nearing completion. Though it was initially slated to open in fall 2020, the new hotel is set to open its doors this spring.

Located at 560 Seventh Ave., the 32-story tower will sit in the heart of Times Square. Curbed reports that this new location is famed musician Jimmy Buffett’s second attempt to bring the Margaritaville vibes to New York City — in 2018 the musical “Escape to Margaritaville” ran for six months.

The building will replace a six-story building that housed the former fashion campus of the Parsons School of Design and a synagogue, though the synagogue will still stand within the Margaritaville Resort property.

When the hotel opens, parrotheads — the legion of Buffett fans — and other guests will be able to flock to the hotel for the casual vibes in one of the busiest parts of New York City.

The 234 hotel rooms will be equipped with walk-in rain showers, bath amenities, complimentary wifi & USB outlets, soundproof windows, in-room delivery service and so much more. The rooms will also have island-inspired decor and comforts, giving you a natural getaway while you sip on some frozen concoctions.

The hotel will offer several places onsite to eat and drink, such as the Margaritaville Restaurant, Landshark Bar & Grill, License to Chill Bar, 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar, and Joe Merchant, where you’ll likely find that lost shaker of salt.

The Landshark Bar & Grill, in particular, will also hold the resort’s outdoor pool, which will be open year-round weather-permitting, and also has outdoor dining to enjoy a cheeseburger in paradise, among other treats.
