Police arrested a man who they say stabbed another man to death in Brooklyn over the weekend.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call regarding an assault in progress in the vicinity of East 87 Street and Avenue L at 2:38 p.m. on Sept. 24. Upon their arrival, officers found a 22-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his body.
The victim was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
On Sept. 27, police arrested 32-year-old Erickson Jean-Gilles in connection to the stabbing. A spokesperson for the NYPD stated that the victim and Jean-Gilles allegedly got into a dispute that led to the stabbing.
Jean-Gilles was charged with murder.
