Cops cuff man who cut his girlfriend’s throat in Staten Island

The NYPD arrested a man for allegedly slicing a woman’s throat in Staten Island this week.

Authorities say that 39-year-old Milton Bolton in connection to the death of 38-year-old Natasha Colon. He was charged with one count of murder.

According to police, at 8:44 p.m. on Dec. 15 officers responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious woman inside an apartment at 47 Montgomery Avenue. Upon their arrival, the officers were told that Colon had been taken to Richmond University Medical Center with a laceration to her throat. She later died of her injuries at the hospital and her death was ruled a homicide.

A spokesperson from the NYPD said that Bolton and Colon, who resided together in the Montgomery Avenue apartment, were in some kind of relationship. At this time, it is not clear what led to Colon’s death.

Bolton was taken into custody and 4 p.m. on Dec. 16.
