Police need the public’s help in finding a man who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in Brooklyn earlier this month.

The NYPD released video footage on Nov. 11 of the perpetrator behind the Nov. 1 assault, which occurred at about 11:30 p.m. in Canarsie.

According to law enforcement sources, the 13-year-old female victim met the suspect while walking to a friend’s house, and the two became engaged in a conversation. They then walked into a residence in the vicinity of East 102nd Street and Avenue M, where the perpetrator forced her to have intercourse.

Sources familiar with the investigation said the victim left the home after the assault and later called 911 to report the incident. She was brought to a local hospital for treatment.

Police described the suspect as a black man with a medium build between 20 and 25 years of age, standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. Cops said he had long dreadlocks and a goatee, and was last seen wearing a red bubble jacket, dark jeans and multi-colored sneakers.
