Cops search for clown who assaulted train rider

The NYPD Sunday night released photos of a man in a clown wig who allegedly tried stabbing a D train rider in the Bronx with a screwdriver.

The rainbow-wig-wearing suspect and an accomplice are accused of assaulting a 45-year-old man on a northbound D train at the East 170th Street and Grand Concourse Station on Saturday at 2:35 p.m., police said.

The man in the clown wig — also wearing a white tank top and multicolored shorts — attempted to stab the victim, while the other suspect — wearing a blue shirt, jeans and a black do-rag — punched the victim in the face.

Nothing was taken from the victim and he did not require a trip to a hospital.
