Cops seek suspect in Downtown cash-machine spree

Cops are hunting a man wanted in a string of thefts in which he used his victims’ debit-card information to withdraw hundreds of dollars at a time from cash machines across Lower Manhattan.

The suspect’s first alleged crime occurred on Oct. 2, when at 7:09 p.m. he used a 60-year-old woman’s debit card information to withdraw $500 from an ATM on Park Pl. near Broadway, according to police.

The second crime occurred the following day at midnight, when the suspect allegedly used a 21-year-old man’s debit card information to nab $989 from a teller machine inside a Park Ave. South drug store between E. 22nd and E. 23rd Sts., cops said.

The next day, on Oct. 4, the suspect allegedly used a 37-year-old man’s information to grab $908 from an ATM inside a First Ave. drug store between E. 14th and E. 15th Sts., according to police.

The final crime investigators have linked to the suspect occurred later that month on Oct. 24, when at 10:30 a.m. he allegedly used a 38-year-old woman’s debit-card information to nab $520 from an ATM inside a Seventh Ave. drug store between W. 21st and W. 22nd Sts., cops said.

The suspect is approximately 25–35 years of age, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10-inches tall, with a light complexion, according to police.
