A veteran New York City correction officer was awaiting arraignment last night on an array of charges involving the alleged rape and assault of a female relative at gunpoint, according to officials and press reports.
Eddie Colon, 49, was arrested after 2 a.m. yesterday for allegedly attacking the woman in a Bushwick apartment, according to police. He is charged with rape, assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and unlawful imprisonment.
