Deutsche demo pushed to 2010

The Deutsche Bank building won’t be down until mid-January 2010 under the latest schedule for the project.

The Lower Manhattan Development Corp., which owns the building, said deconstruction of the damaged building will not begin until mid-July and will take about six months. The government regulators have not yet approved the deconstruction plan, and workers have to finish decontaminating the building and removing the facade before the building can begin to come down.

The reason for the most recent delay of about two months was a power shed that shorted out in April because of improper wiring.
