Dogs and people celebrate 4704

Lunar New Year festivities went out with a burst of colors and dancing. Lion and dragon dance troops paraded along for the parade Sunday. Dogs, and their owners, were out in force to celebrate 4704, the Year of the Dog. Dogs dressed in holiday-appropriate outfits walked alongside dogs wearing signs read “adopt me.” Animal shelters used the occasion to remind people that there were plenty of dogs up for adoption.
