Rowling thinks Donald Trump’s latest remarks have landed him on a level far worse than her series’ villain, Voldemort. Backlash is pouring in after Trump called to block all Muslims from entering the United States during a rally in South Carolina on Monday. Trump’s call led people to compare him to Adolf Hitler, and a BBC News tweet pinned him against the Dark Lord. Rowling replied to the tweet, saying that Trump’s latest remarks have made him even worse than her fictional villain who discriminated against “mudbloods,” or those who were half-wizard, half “muggle.” “How horrible. Voldemort was nowhere near as bad,” Rowling tweeted on Tuesday in reply to BBC News. In less than four hours, her tweet was retweeted 61,909 times and received 55,980 likes. The majority of those thousands of Twitter users seemed to agree, Shonda Rhimes being one of them. “Preach. Trump is way worse,” the creator of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How to Get Away with Murder,” tweeted. According to CNN, fans around the world are now calling Rowling a “queen.” Major political figures, including Bernie Sanders, Jeb Bush and Lindsey Graham, are also sharing their opinions of Trump’s comments on Twitter. “We are weak when we allow racism and xenophobia to divide us,” Sen. Sanders tweeted on Monday. By MEGHAN GIANNOTTA firstname.lastname@example.org Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Comments Comments section is temporarily on hold. Here’s why.
