34th Annual Village Halloween ParadeJoin or watch the city’s biggest Halloween spectacle. For those in costume, line up at 6th Avenue, south of Spring Street and north of Canal between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Only enter the line-up on 6th Ave. from the East and South between Canal and Spring —the West Side is cut off. You can also watch the parade live along 6th Avenue from Spring Street to 21st Street from 7 – 11 p.m. , or catch it on NY 1 television from 8 – 9:30 p.m. This year’s Grand Marshall is the creature from Mel Brook’s Young Frankenstein.
Children’s Harvest FestivalEvent features kid-size pumpkins and supplies to paint them, seasonal autumn crafts, goodies and the rare opportunity for city kids to kick leaves and roll off big bales of straw.
