MORRIS/NEWSDAY Updated August 19, 2014 7:37 AM Print Share Share Tweet Share Email The body of an unidentified woman was found on the sixth-floor landing after a four-alarm fire Monday in Hamilton Heights apartment building, New York City police said. Police said in a Tuesday news release the woman was pronounced dead at the scene and that the medical examiner will determine cause of death. Ten firefighters were also injured, two with serious but not life-threatening injuries, an FDNY spokesman said. The blaze, which broke out in an apartment building at 512 West 136th Street near Amsterdam Avenue, started at about 5:45 p.m., according to the FDNY, and raged through all six floors and into the bottom of the roof.
