A resident suffered smoke inhalation but refused medical attention at the scene, according to Fire Department officials.

Responding units used two hose-lines to knock down the main body of fire, which was placed under control at 9:55 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the FDNY fire marshal’s office.
