1 dead, 2 injured in Queensbridge Houses shooting

A 23-year-old male is dead and two people are injured after a shooting at the Queensbridge Houses in Long Island City early Saturday morning.

Police responded to a 911 call at 40-15 12th St. just after 2:30 a.m. and found Jahhad Marshall unresponsive in the rear courtyard with a gunshot wound to the back. Marshall was taken to Cornell Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Two other victims, a 29-year-old female and an 18-year-old male, were transported from the crime scene to area hospitals with gunshot wounds, police said. They were in stable condition.

Police say an investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
