Japanese internment remembered in 75th anniversary Manhattan march

Participants, some of them U.S. internment camp survivors, remembered the forced confinement of Japanese-Americans in a solemn walk through Manhattan on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017. About two dozen people commemorating the 75th anniversary of the executive order that led to internment of Japanese-Americans walked silently past Trump Tower. Some say they see parallels between that executive order and Trump’s order barring people from seven Muslim-majority countries. (Credit: Yeong-Ung Yang)
