Long Island man arrested in Brooklyn stabbing death, NYPD says

A Long Island man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a 21-year-old man in Brooklyn over the weekend, the NYPD said.

According to police, Jaiquan Thorne was assaulted on Fenimore Street in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens on Sunday. Officers responding to a call around 5:50 a.m. found Thorne unconscious with a stab wound to the chest, police said.

Thorne was transported to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

On Monday, the NYPD announced the arrest of Kevin Hall, 22, of Patchogue. Hall has been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
