W.T.C. worker injured
A worker at the World Trade Center site fell 4 feet from a crane around 7 a.m. last Thurs., Dec. 18 and sustained minor injuries.
The worker, an oiler with Cornell Construction, was doing routine maintenance on the crane when he slipped, said Steve Coleman, spokesperson for the Port Authority. The worker was taken to St. Vincent’s hospital for observation.
The accident happened on the western portion of the site where Bovis Lend Lease is building the 9/11 memorial. Steel for the memorial started rising in September.
