Last Thursday, a silent vigil marking the 40th day since the tragic killing of Neda Agha-Soltan in Iran was held in Union Square, where people held up NEDA signs with a photo of her face. Similar ceremonies were held around the world. While simply standing in the street, Soltan was shot in the chest by government militia. When her murder surfaced on the Internet it sparked international condemnation. The sponsor of last Thursday’s event was the New York chapter of the group Where Is My Vote?
