Legal awards
Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau and State Supreme Court Judge Stanley Sklar, were honored last Friday by the New York County Lawyers’ Association before an audience of 500 at the Ritz-Carlton in Battery Park City. Judge Sklar received the Judge Louis J. Capozzoli Gavel Award for exceptional contributions to the system of justice and Morgenthau was given a special award for his long service to the city.
Spring youth fair
On Wed. May 17, Community Board 1 will host the Spring 2006 Youth Fair at Southbridge Towers community room (inside the complex at Fulton and Gold Sts.) from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The youth fair is open to the public and offers families the opportunity to interact with providers servicing toddlers to teens.
