Brademas appointed as state regent

John Brademas, president emeritus of New York University and a former congressmember, was elected in a joint session of the New York State Legislature as a member of the New York State Board of Regents, the state’s highest education policy-making body. Brademas was N.Y.U. president from 1981-1992 and represented Indiana in Congress for 22 years.
