A total of six swastikas were drawn onto a metal railing on 49th Street with what appears to be a black marker. Neighbors say the hate symbols are especially unsettling because there are many Jews and even Holocaust survivors living in the quiet residential area. State Assemblyman Dov Hikind released a statement saying in part, "These things happen way too often and it's a sad commentary." Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Comments Comments section is temporarily on hold. Here’s why.
