St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan recently held a fundraiser at Thalassa Restaurant in Tribeca to benefit its Department of Pediatrics Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Child Life Program and Parent Education Program. At left, Dr. Michel Cohen, founder of Tribeca Pediatrics, author of “The New Basics” and co-chairperson of the Benefit for Pediatrics, posed with honorary chairperson Edie Falco of “Sopranos” fame and her son. Also at the benefit, ABC News anchor Michelle Charlesworth auctioned off a baby pram donated by honorary chairperson actress Liv Tyler. In the spring a proposal was made to eliminate the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, but St. Vincent’s recently announced it will keep it open.
