Robbery arrest Police arrested two men shortly after 2 a.m. Mon., Dec. 24 and charged them with robbing a victim at gunpoint on the corner of John and Gold Sts. Jaquan Harris, 20, and Robert Washington, 34, were charged with robbery after the victim, 25, and a witness identified them, police said.
Vehicle assault A patron of Tribeca Tavern on Sixth Ave., at Walker St. got into an argument with another customer that continued into the street and turned violent at about 3:40 a.m. on Christmas Day, police said. The victim, 35, from California, said the suspect, whom he knew only as Shane, punched him in the face, got in a car parked at the curb and drove into him, then backed up and again drove into the victim, police said. The suspect drove off and the victim was not hospitalized.
Watch stolen A Philadelphia man, 34, staying at the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park City, told police he discovered at 2 a.m. Wed., Dec. 19 that someone had entered his room while he was out and made off with his rose gold watch from Jacobs Jewelers valued at $30,000, which he had left on the bathroom sink.
Burglary arrest Police arrested Roderick Bennett, 17, and charged him with stealing a Gucci wallet with $200 from a second floor apartment at 113 Cedar St. at about 2:30 p.m. Sat., Dec. 22.
E train robber A Queens woman, 20, was traveling on a southbound E train at 10:20 p.m., Dec. 25 when a man put a black handgun to her face, said “Give men what you got,” and grabbed her bag with her wallet, ID and credit cards and $100 in cash, police said. The robber fled the car at the Spring St. station and the victim stayed on.
Christmas burglar A burglar broke into the front door of Handsome Man boutique at 29 John St. sometime between 7 p.m. Mon., Dec. 24 and 6 a.m., Christmas Day and made off with a man’s wool coat valued at $150, police said.
Gone in a minute A woman paying for her morning coffee at 11:45 a.m. Sat., Dec. 22 at Olivia’s Restaurant, 225 Broadway, left her wallet on the counter and turned back to it a minute or so later but it was gone, police said. She lost $70 in cash, credit cards and ID.
Car break-ins A man who parked his car in front of 51 Hudson St. near Thomas St. at 8 p.m. Sun., Dec. 23 returned at 9 a.m. the next day to find a rear window broken and skiing gear valued at $3,575 gone. A man who parked his car at the corner of Watts and Washington Sts. at 8 p.m. Sat., Dec. 22 returned an hour later to find the driver’s side window broken and a set of golf clubs, sun glasses, a global positioning system instrument and a radio gone with a total value of $1,550.
Body discovered The body of an unidentified woman was pulled from the East River at Grand St. at 2:30 p.m. Mon., Dec. 17. The Medical Examiner is investigating the cause of death.
Car stolen A man making deliveries in the City Hall neighborhood parked his white 2001 Subaru Legacy in front of 15 Murray St. between Broadway and Church St. at 10 a.m. Mon., Dec. 17 to drop off a package and returned to find the vehicle gone, police said.
Tribeca break-in A burglar broke into Max Restaurant, 181 Duane St., damaging the front door, sometime after 4:30 a.m. Wed., Dec. 12, but left without taking anything, police said.
