Assault in B.P.C.
Police charged Brian Lydon, 45, of 103 Washington St., with third degree assault in connection with a bias-motivated attack on Wednesday night, Aug. 11 on a cab driver, described as an Indian man, 35, who was parked at Albany St. and South End Ave. in Battery Park City. Police said the suspect had approached the cab at about 11 p.m., made an anti-Muslim remark and punched the driver in the face. The victim flagged down police in a passing patrol car who made the arrest.

Police said a 25-year-old Arab woman reported that a man in a passing car yelled anti-Arab comments at her around noon on Wed. Aug 4 as she was walking on Warren near Church St.
