Snatch phone

A man snatched a cell phone from a woman sitting outside the coffee shop at 504 Sixth Ave at W. 13th St. at 1:30 p.m. Tues., Oct. 2, police said.

Sushi burglars

Burglars broke the cylinder of a lock on the door of Sumile Sushi, 154 W. 13th St., sometime after closing during the early hours of Tues., Oct. 1, made off with unspecified cash and did considerable damage, police said.

Grab bag

At 2:45 p.m. on Sun., Sept. 30, a man on a bicycle grabbed a bag from a woman leaving King Deli, 448 Hudson St., as she was about to get into the passenger side of her car parked at the curb, police said.

Soho pickpocket

A woman standing on the checkout queue at Dean & DeLuca, 560 Broadway at Prince St., on Tuesday afternoon Oct. 2 saw a man behind her with her wallet under his arm after she had felt someone going into her bag, police said. The woman, 29, altered a security guard, who apprehended Manuel O’ferrel, 45, and held him for police, who charged him with grand larceny and possession of stolen property.

Car break-in

A man who parked his car on Washington St. at 13th St. in the Meatpacking District returned to it at 6:30 a.m. Tues., Oct. 2, and discovered a hole in the passenger-side window and that $15,000 in cash had been removed from the glove compartment, police said.

Office cleaner charged

Police arrested Alberto Batista, 34, on Thurs., Oct. 4, and charged him with the June 22 theft of computers and other office equipment valued at $3,000 from a 16th-floor office at 114 Fifth Ave. at 17th St., where he was working as a cleaner. He is being held on grand larceny charges pending grand jury action.

Park back-stabber

A man who was playing cards on Monday afternoon Oct. 1 in Columbus Park across Baxter St. from the Criminal Courts stabbed a man he accused of cheating, police said. The suspect, Shui Guo, 54, was charged with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the office of District Attorney Robert Morgenthau. After the victim, 48, walked away from the argument, Guo followed him and stabbed him from behind with a kitchen knife, according to the charge.

Armed robbery

Police charged Nicasio Vargas, 31, with armed robbery for pulling a gun and a knife on a 50-year-old victim in the Alfred Smith Houses grounds at 4:45 a.m. Tues., Oct. 2, and stealing his eyeglasses, bag and papers. The incident began earlier when the sus-pect and the victim started drinking together on the street at the corner of Catherine and Monroe Sts. Vargas is being held on two counts of first-degree robbery.

Brawlers arrested

An argument between two men outside 1 Little W. 12th St. in the Meatpacking District during the early hours of Mon., Oct. 1, turned into a fight in which both sustained injuries, police said.
