A prayer service was held on Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, for imam Maulama Akonjee and his associate Thara Uddin in Ozone Park, Queens.

The pair were fatally shot following Saturday prayers at the Al-Furqan Jame Mosque.

While the city's Muslim community is demanding justice, police said they are questioning a person of interest in the case.

The NYPD has not yet labeled the killings a hate crime.
