Officers found an unconscious Roger Balan, 58, shortly after 12:10 a.m. at 440 Park Ave., the NYPD said. Balan, of Briarcliff Drive, was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital Center, police said. One person was taken into custody for questioning, police said. The NYPD did not release other details Tuesday evening as investigators continued piecing together what happened.
