Memorable run
Thousands of firefighters, military personnel and civilians ran through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center site to honor firefighter Stephen Siller Sunday. Siller made the same 3-mile run on Sept. 11, 2001 wearing his heavy fire gear while helping to save thousands of people who were fleeing the burning towers. He was one of the 343 firefighters killed and his family has organized the annual Tunnel to Towers Run to raise money for children who have lost a parent.
