Sid Kryshku, longtime manager of Jon Vie at Sixth Ave. near 12th St., posed in October with one of the famous pastry shop’s unusual creations. Faced with rising rent and customers’ lowered interest in carbohydrates, Jon Vie plans to close next week. The place was started up 42 years ago by partners named John and Vito. A. Zito & Sons on Bleecker St., a classic Village bread bakery, also closed earlier this year, citing the effects of the Atkins Diet.
