‘Star Wars’ original trilogy returns to NYC theaters in August

Prepare to return to a galaxy far, far away.

The original Star Wars trilogy will return to the big screen at The Town Hall in midtown on Aug. 6 and the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn the next day as part of a roadshow screening tour.

The three movies will be presented in their 1997 revisions, complete with Greedo shooting first and an updated Ewok victory theme.

The Alamo Drafthouse, which is sponsoring the roadshow, said there will be contests, special videos and other treats for fans in between the movies.

Tickets will be available on May 4 at returnofthetrilogy.com
