A teenager was killed and three others were wounded overnight between Friday into Saturday in Brooklyn during yet another round of shootings.

Other areas of the city that had been prone to shootings in recent weeks, including parts of the Bronx and Harlem, were rather quiet. On Friday, Mayor Bill de Blasio vowed to increase pressure on those committing gun violence and using outreach and community groups to help reach out to gangs and others who might use guns to settle scores.

The lone homicide in Brooklyn occurred at 7:45 p.m. Friday in front of the Hotel Sunborn at 100 New Jersey Ave. Police from the 75th Precinct received a 911 call of a man shot in front of the location.

When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old male shot in the chest and unconscious. He was rushed by EMS to Brookdale University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. He has not yet been identified.

Detectives are studying hotel video as to clues on who shot the teenager.

The first of the non-fatal shootings in Brooklyn occurred at 7:10 p.m. on July 10 in front of 1144 Bergen St. in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Officers from the 77th Precinct found a man 28, shot once in the arm. He was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.

The attackers were described as two black men, one of whom wore black track pants with a white stripe. They fled east on Bergen Street, officials say.

The second shooting occurred in front of 660 East 78th St. in Canarsie, Brooklyn at 9:55 p.m., when attackers in a white BMW with black rims, began firing at a 21-year-old man, hitting him twice in the right leg.

Officers from the 69th Precinct found him on the sidewalk in front of the location. EMS took him to Brookdale University Medical Center in stable condition.

The final shooting occurred at 2:15 a.m. in front of 263 Kings Hwy. in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Police from the 62nd Precinct found a man with a graze wound to his right arm after what detectives believe was a violent dispute with four other men.

All four men were being questioned at the 62nd Precinct stationhouse, but none have yet been charged in the shooting, police officials said. The victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center for treatment.

Police officials also announced Friday the arrest Charles Hernandez, 40, of East New York, in connection with the June 27 double murder of a man and woman sitting on the steps of a Van Siclen Avenue home, with what police say was an AK-47 assault rifle.

The nature of the dispute was not immediately known and police from the 75th Precinct are continuing their investigation.
