Teenagers punch worker at Upper West Side store, steal $175 in merchandise: NYPD

Police are looking for two teenagers who allegedly punched a convenience store worker in the head and robbed the store of $175 in merchandise on the Upper West Side last month.

The teenagers allegedly entered the store, located on the corner of West 85th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, at around 12:55 p.m. on April 24, with one of them reaching over the counter and striking a 24-year-old male employee in the head.

The second suspect, according to police, acted as a lookout, while the teenager at the counter reached over several times and grabbed $175 worth of store goods.

The teenagers then fled on foot westbound on West 85th Street. The store worker suffered minor injuries.

The suspects are both described as being about 18 years of age and approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall.

Police have released a photo of one of the suspects.
