On Halloween, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, above right, was mixed in among the throng at Bleecker St. and Sixth Ave. enjoying the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. Sporting a leather jacket, he was standing with two unidentified companions, and didn’t appear to be part of the parade police detail. A marcher in the ghoulish procession portrayed Gede, below, the Haitian Vodou goddess who, like the police, is a protector — though of graves in cemeteries.
